Chick-fil-A Loses Dispute With Snellville Residents
July 9, 2008
A Chick-fil-A restaurant in Snellville on Westridge Drive and U.S. 78 has been denied permission to build and entrance that it has already built!
The business owners wanted to allow access from Westridge Drive to prevent traffic problems on the busy highway.
Chick-fil-A had already forked out $40,000 to construct the new entrance and exit but residents said there had never been a public hearing on the matter. They argue that there are no speed bumps on the road and cars already drive too fast in the area.
Westridge Drive snakes through neighborhoods, forming a horseshoe that leads back to U.S. 78 further east.
Currently the entrance is blocked with large orange construction barricades and cones until a solution is found.
